Visit to Bushey Academy

Oliver at school

Oliver made a visit to Bushey Academy to meet with Headteacher, Andrew Hemmings, to discuss the issues facing the school. Earlier this year the school showed marked improvement when Ofsted increased its rating from 'Satisfactory' to 'Good', in particular Ofsted praised teachers for having "high expectations" and being "ambitious" for students. 

Oliver was impressed by what he saw:

"I have very much enjoyed my visit to the school. Over the past few years there has been fantastic turnaround in Bushey Academy's fortunes and it is a testament to the hard work of students and teachers.

"It is great to see the results of the massive investment in new buildings and infrastructure".
