Oliver Dowden has welcomed the cancellation of the proposed industrial action.

Mr Dowden said: “I am delighted that the unions came to their senses and accepted a deal with Network Rail.

As a commuter, I know my fellow passengers will be as relieved as I am that services will be running as normal next week.”
