Oliver joined the Potters Bar Sixty Plus Club for their 2016 Christmas lunch yesterday.

After the event Oliver said: ‘I was delighted to join the Sixty Plus Club in Potters Bar yesterday, along with the Mayor and some of our local councillors for a fantastic meal. There was a great range of people at the event and I enjoyed the chance to speak with many of them.

‘The lunches run by the Sixty Plus Club are a great facility, making sure older people get the chance to have a good hot meal each day.

‘I pay tribute to the hard work of everyone involved in running the club and I look forward to visiting again soon.’

The lunch took place at the Wyllyotts Theatre just off Darkes Lane. Alongside their regular lunches, the club also provides a wide range of activities, including: gardening, art, games and social activities.

Oliver added: ‘I very much recommend the club to anyone over sixty in Potters Bar looking for a good meal and good company.’
