Conservative Parliamentary candidate for Hertsmere, Oliver Dowden spoke to 6th Form students from Dame Alice Owen today about his background, as a local boy growing up in the area, and his experience in politics.
Oliver’s talk was followed by a Q+A session, which allowed pupils to quiz Oliver on his experiences and views on key issues in the build up to the election.
Oliver Dowden said:
“The students asked some great questions and have clearly been thinking and debating these issues with one another.
“This year is likely to be the first general election for many in the class today, so it is great to see them engaged in the political process.
“I wish them all luck in their studies and hope that those who can vote do so.”
