Oliver over the weekend joined in with the Mitzvah Day activities at Radlett United Synagogue and Goods for Good in Borehamwood.
The events saw people of all ages and ages and faiths coming together in a series of activities for charity. These included work around alleviating loneliness, knitting for premature babies at Radlett and packing goods to be sent to refugees at Goods for Good.
Speaking today Oliver said: ‘It was a pleasure to join in with Mitzvah Day 2017 on Sunday and get involved in the community projects that were being put on at Radlett United Synagogue and our local charity, Goods for Good in Borehamwood.
‘The event highlights how much the Jewish community gives back to our local area and congratulations to everyone in Hertsmere and around the country who contributed this year.
‘It was also good to see other faith groups from the area taking part, including from the Hare Krishna and Muslim communities.’
