Oliver Dowden met with Police and Crime Commissioner for Hertfordshire, David Lloyd, along with Town Mayor, Pat Strack, and Councillor Sandra Parnell, to campaign for extra funding for youth projects to help reduce crime at its source.
Oliver said:
"It has been a valuable meeting today and it is clear that there is a joint will to see these excellent projects cotinue. I hope the projects will receive extra funding to continue their important work.
"Since the Conservatives came to power, crime has fallen by over a fifth nationwide - to its lowest level on record. However, the fight against crime must continue and schemes like the ones dicussed today are key to preventing crime".
