Oliver visited Sebby’s Corner in Borehamwood recently to congratulate them on their work in supporting young families in need.

Sebby’s Corner is a local clothes and food bank targeted at supporting babies and young children who would otherwise struggle with clothes and toiletries.

Sebby’s Corner was set up in January 2021 by Bianca Sakol and is named in memory of her brother Sebby who helped her set up a clothes donation organisation at local foodbank, Gratitude, when she struggled to donate old children’s clothes.

Bianca now runs Sebby’s Corner full time alongside a team of volunteers and her organisation was awarded a Points of Light award in October 2021 in recognition of her contribution to the local community.

In August 2021, Sebby’s Corner worked with Rabbi Feldman of Bushey United Synagogue to help distribute clothes and essential items to 3,000 Afghan refugee families in the South East.

After his visit, Oliver said: 'It was great to visit Sebby’s Corner in Borehamwood to see all the good work Bianca Sakol has been doing over the past year to support young families.

They have donated clothes, food and toiletries to thousands of vulnerable families and it has been great to see our local community being so supportive of their efforts.
