Oliver Dowden lent his support to Manor Pharmacy in Elstree and met with its owner, Graham Phillips, who has been providing care for local residents, in particular the elderly and frail, for the past 30 years.
The village pharmacy helps residents by providing over the counter medicine, support for self-care and treating minor ailments. It has been recognised locally and nationally for innovation, exceptional quality of service and high customer satisfaction. The high percentage of elderly residents living in the vicinity makes the pharmacy an important and immediate resource for those in need.
Mr Phillips is currently looking to have his support renewed. The service is important to many elderly and frail residents, as it is very close to where they live.
Oliver Dowden said:
“It was great to meet Graham and all the hardworking staff at Manor Pharmacy. This is a great facility for all of Elstree. It plays an important role in supporting local people, particularly the frail and the elderly.
“I am very proud to support them.”
