Oliver paid a visit to Watford Grammar School for Boys to give a talk about his role as an MP and cabinet minister and take questions from students.
In an event organised by the politics society, Oliver spoke to sixth form students from the boys’ school, as well as a number of students in attendance from its sister school, Watford Girls, and Westfield Academy.
Oliver said: 'I was delighted to return to Watford Boys and speak to students about my role in politics and the issues the country currently faces.
It was great to see students from Watford Boys – as well as those attending from Watford Girls and Westfield Academy – taking an active interest in politics, clearly demonstrated by the range of interesting and challenging questions I was asked. I hope I was able to provide some useful insight into my role.'
