Oliver Dowden, MP for Hertsmere, has welcomed the election of new Mayor for Hertsmere Councillor Pete Rutledge and Deputy Mayor Charles Goldstein. Mr Dowden said: “I was pleased to be at Wednesday night’s official Mayor making. I am delighted that the Mayoral Chains of Office will be passing on to Pete and Charles, along with their partners, who will do a fantastic job. “We are very fortunate in Hertsmere to have such dedicated Councillors, who will really go the extra mile as our first citizens for the year. I look forward to working with them for the benefit of our whole community. “I also pay tribute to our outgoing Mayor Councillor Martin Worster and his wife Pam, who were tireless in promoting the community over the past year.”
