Oliver recently convened a meeting with Sullivan Buses, a local company who operate bus services in and around Hertfordshire and north London.
Oliver said: ‘After constituents got in touch to raise concerns about the 398 bus service between Potters Bar and Borehamwood, I wanted to speak directly with Sullivan Buses.
I know that many people rely on this service, as well as others provided by Sullivan Buses. That’s why I have worked as your MP to preserve vital services across the constituency.
Further to this, the Government has now announced £30 million for local authorities to improve bus services and I am working with Sullivan Buses and Hertfordshire County Council to see how some of this money can be used to improve services locally – particularly the 398.
I am hopeful this new Government money will mean that we can increase the services on the 398 again.’
