Oliver met with the Elstree and Borehamwood Green Belt Society (EBGBS) to discuss his ongoing work to protect the local Green Belt.
They discussed Hertsmere’s recently shelved draft Local Plan, as well as the future of Woodcock Hill Village Green and Aldenham Reservoir.
Oliver said:
“I was pleased to meet with the Elstree and Borehamwood Green Belt Society again to discuss the Local Plan and my ongoing campaigns to preserve Woodcock Hill Village Green and Aldenham Reservoir.
We owe the society a debt of gratitude for their selfless work over the decades to preserve what we love about our area. Hertsmere would be a poorer place without them.
I will continue to work with local groups – as well as lobbying in government – to secure greater protections for Hertsmere’s beautiful green surroundings and preserve our local gems.”
