Oliver visited Hilton London Watford in Hertsmere to celebrate the award of Apprentice of the Year to Rabee Bond.
To mark National Apprenticeship Week, Mr Bond was named Hilton’s Apprentice of the Year, selected from the hotel chain’s apprentices across the country.
Mr Bond, 19, has completed his Food and Beverage Apprenticeship at Hilton London Watford and now works as Food and Beverage Team Leader at the hotel.
He accepted the award from Steve Cassidy, Managing Director of Hilton UK.
Oliver congratulated Mr Bond, saying: 'I was delighted to see an employee of Hilton Watford in Hertsmere, Rabee Bond, receive Hilton’s national Apprentice of the Year award.
To be recognised as Hilton’s top apprentice from across the country is a testament to Rabee’s ability and hard work. It was a great pleasure to visit Hilton Watford, where Rabee completed his apprenticeship, to celebrate this achievement.
With £2.7 billion more support for apprenticeships by 2024 and 320,000 new apprentices last year, I am proud to be part of a government which is supporting people like Rabee into rewarding careers. I wish him all the best for the future.'
