Oliver was delighted to visit the Queen Vic in Albert Square, on set at EastEnders during a visit to BBC Elstree Studios.
Oliver again visited BBC Elstree Studios, where he met with senior management including the CEO of BBC Studios Productions, to discuss the important role BBC Elstree plays in his Hertsmere constituency.
Following this Oliver toured the external set of the long-running soap opera EastEnders, visiting Albert Square and finishing with a trip to The Queen Vic pub.
Oliver said: ‘It was fantastic to be at BBC Elstree again, visiting Albert Square during filming of EastEnders. I finished up with a quick visit to The Queen Vic!
BBC Elstree forms a vital part of the UK Film and TV industry and plays a huge role in the local community. It was great to see this first-hand during a tour of the site, hosted by BBC Studios, including the EastEnders set. I recently secured commitments for this site’s future, guaranteeing the long-term use of the site for production, and ensuring the continued filming of EastEnders.’
