Oliver Dowden, MP for Hertsmere continues to fight against proposals for the Radlett Rail Freight Terminal.

Mr Dowden said: "I have today written to the Chief Executive of Network Rail, Mr Mark Carne, in regard to the amendments that would be needed to the Elstree Tunnels to accommodate freight trains from the proposed Radlett Rail Freight Terminal.

As it stands, there are significant questions over the feasibility of the amendments needed to the tunnels, and I am concerned about the possible impact of the proposed works on commuter services into London."
