Last week Oliver was guest speaker at the annual meeting of the Red House surgery’s patients’ group.
The Red House group comprises three individual surgeries in Radlett, Shenley and Park Street, with a total membership of around 20,000. The event consisted of a main meeting, followed by a speech and Q&A session with Oliver.
Speaking afterwards, Oliver said: ‘It was a pleasure to speak to the patients of the Red House surgery at their annual general meeting.
‘Local GPs are the backbone of the health service and have always been there for me and my family. Red House’s network serves thousands of local patients and is a vital community asset for our area.
‘As we deal with the challenges of a growing and older population the work of GPs will only become more crucial. It was important for me to hear patients’ views and it helps me better represent them in Parliament.’
