Oliver recently visited Yavenh College to talk to the Year 12 Government & Politics students.
Oliver talked to the students about his job as the Hertsmere’s local MP and answered their questions on the state of Brexit, hate speech, the environment and what the Government is doing to tackle homelessness.
The students, and their teacher Ms Julie Bungey, told Oliver about what they were studying and what they had already learned about political ideologies such as socialism, conservatism and liberalism.
Speaking after the visit, Oliver said: ‘It was a real pleasure to talk to the politics students at Yavneh College.
They asked me some great questions on Brexit, our environment and what we can all do to tackle anti-Semitic hate speech.
Yavneh is an excellent school and I wish everyone at Yavneh the best of luck for their exams.’
