Oliver last month paid a visit to Boreham Wood Football Club’s home ground, Meadow Park, following the news that BWFC have been awarded a grant from the Stadia Improvement Fund to make improvements stadium.
Speaking afterwards, Oliver said: ‘It was great to visit Boreham Wood FC last month. I got see first-hand the work that’s being done to improve Meadow Park and also meet with the club’s officials.
‘The club is a fantastic part of our local community and I hope that the funding provided by the Stadia Improvement Fund will help upgrade facilities for fans and players.
‘I look forward to visiting again soon and continuing to support the club in my role as their Member of Parliament.’
Oliver was guided on his tour by club Chairman, Mr Danny Hunter, and was also able to watch some of the annual youth football tournament the Club hosts which was taking place that day.
