The Member of Parliament, Oliver Dowden MP, recently visited Bushey Medical Centre following complaints from patients who have received parking fines.
Private Parking Solutions (PPS) run the car park for Bushey Medical Centre. Patients have reported being issued fines while attending appointments, and even when sitting in their vehicles.
This has raised concerns about the number of spaces available in the car park for patients. Mr Dowden has contacted Bushey Medical Centre and Private Parking Solutions (PPS) to discuss next steps.
Oliver said: 'A number of residents have been in contact with me after receiving fines for parking at Bushey Medical Centre.
I was very concerned to hear of ill and vulnerable people trying to get to their medical appointments and having to pay £100 penalties for parking their car.'
Oliver added: 'I have made representations to Bushey Medical Centre and the car park operator, Private Parking Solutions (PPS), raising resident’s concerns and to see what can be done both in terms of the fines and the potential for more parking space. PPS have already overturned a number fines for my constituents but I know there is more to do.'
