Just met with the Aldenham Sailing Club. I have enjoyed visiting the reservoir and neighbouring country park since I was a child and still go there regularly with my children.  

I know that many people are concerned about the future of the reservoir and are interested in the planning application from Liberty Aldenham, that proposes housing development on adjacent land in return for funding the repair and upkeep of the dam.

Clearly this is something for councillors on the planning committee to determine. I took this opportunity to reassure club members I will do all I can to ensure that future generations can enjoy it as we all have.
