Oliver visited the Bushey Museum and Art Gallery in Hertsmere to celebrate its reopening following the lifting of the Covid restrictions.
Oliver was taken on a tour of the collection highlights and a new exhibition called ‘The Young Generation’ by art curators of Bushey Museum Pat Woollard and John Gerry. The ‘Young Generation’ exhibition features paintings and drawings involving children, including artwork by pupils at St Margaret’s School.
Following his visit, Oliver said: 'It was fantastic to be back at the Bushey Museum last Friday as they reopened. Hertsmere is a historic borough with a wealth of cultural and heritage attractions and Bushey Museum is one of the best.
I have visited many times and was delighted to tour their new exhibition, ‘The Young Generation’, and see the rest of the excellent art and artefacts they have on show.
I would encourage everyone to get out and visit this real local gem and support the great venues Hertsmere has to offer.'
