Sir Oliver Dowden MP recently visited Gratitude Charity.
Gratitude are a charity that take food that is good to eat but cannot be sold in shops because of packaging errors or overproduction and then redistribute it to the community through various free meals projects, community pantry and our network of local charities.
Sir Oliver had previously visited Gratitude in 2021 to open the facility.
Sir Oliver said: 'I had a wonderful visit to Gratitude Charity recently to meet the team and friends of the charity.
‘I had a tour of their hub and spoke to volunteers who help give out clothes supplies, prepare food parcels for school children and manage the food bank area that is utilised as an any contribution bric-a-brac stall between sessions. They also are looking to start an educational facility for service users and their families.’
‘I was very grateful to receive their 10-Year History Book, commemorating a significant milestone in the charity's evolution.
‘Gratitude have worked hard for the community over the years, achieving so much and their volunteers are as passionate and dedicated as ever.’
