Oliver visited St John’s Infant and Nursery School in Radlett to meet the new school council and speak to the students about life as their Member of Parliament.
Oliver was invited to the school by Mr Grant Kutner, who is a reception teacher and also responsible for the newly launched school council. After speaking with the pupils on the school council, Oliver also spoke to the whole of Year 2 who had a wide range of interesting questions.
Oliver said: ‘It was a real delight to visit St John’s recently and meet the new school council members, as well as taking questions from students in Year 2.
The pupils had some important questions about having a voice and how important it is to get involved in community life. It is always a pleasure to talk to the children and I was very impressed with their great questions.'
