Oliver visited Yavneh College on Friday to tour the school and speak to its Sixth Form students.
Oliver talked to the students about what they were studying in their classes, his role as Hertsmere’s local MP and answered their questions on the issues facing Hertsmere and the country today.
Oliver visited science, geography and computing classes to discuss what they were learning about light and colour filters, the threats which Climate Change poses to the environment and how to code and build websites.
In his talk to the Sixth Form students after the tour, Oliver answered their questions on how the Government is keeping women and girls safe, on the need to tackle abuse on social media and the current state of the Coronavirus pandemic.
Speaking after the visit, Oliver said: ‘It was a real pleasure to talk to students at Yavneh College today.
They asked me some great questions on how we can keep women and girls safe on our streets, how we can protect young people when online and the challenges which Covid continues to pose.’
