Sir Oliver and county councillor Morris Bright MBE recently visited Rectory Lane in Shenley following concerns raised by constituents about road surfaces in the area.
Sir Oliver said: “There has been lots of damage done to roads in Hertsmere this winter. Potholes and flooding constitute not only an inconvenience, but also a real risk to local residents trying to go about their lives.
I will work closely with Hertfordshire County Council to ensure that both preventative and remedial action is taken, and that our road surfaces are safe for all to use.
Please do not hesitate to report specific sites directly to Hertfordshire County Council. You can also contact me and request my intervention, should it be needed, by emailing [email protected].”
