Oliver has met with the Rail Minister, Andrew Jones MP, to press him on the delivery of Oyster pay-as-you-go to Radlett and Potters Bar.
The extension of pay-as-you-go technology to Radlett and Potters Bar in 2019 was promised by the Department for Transport at the end of last year.
Oliver met with the Rail Minister to press him on the need to keep to the promise to deliver pay-as-you-go this year and to receive an update on the project.
The Rail Minister said that the extension of pay-as-you-go to Radlett and Potters Bar was on track and will be delivered later this year as promised.
Speaking after the meeting, Oliver said: ‘I was very pleased to secure the extension of Oyster to Radlett and Potters Bar Stations in 2019 last year.
We have been here before with the Department for Transport and people were rightly sceptical of these commitments.
That is why I have met with the Rail Minister to press him on the need to deliver on this promise and I was pleased to hear that Oyster extension is well on track to be delivered this year.’
