Oliver at the weekend re-opened the Mary Forsdyke Gardens in Bushey which have been closed for several weeks of improvements to the gardens and grounds.
The works have seen a new wildflower meadow planted, new paths created and a boardwalk installed across the lake, all alongside new and improved plants and landscaping.
Speaking this week Oliver said: ‘It was a lovely event at Mary Forsdyke Gardens on Sunday and I very much enjoyed taking my family along. We enjoyed the bouncy castle, the great food and the chance to walk our new puppy round the wonderful new grounds.
‘Well done to everyone involved, particularly Raymond Coffey and Hertsmere Borough Council.’
The re-opening ceremony saw a garden party for local residents to come and enjoy the new gardens for the first time. The party, hosted by the Borough Council and the Warren Estate, included guided tours, children’s activities and refreshments for all the guests.
