I have called for Persimmon Homes to take immediate action to fix a dangerous road and to clear out a hazardous building yard.
Last week, residents from Three Valleys Way and Malden Fields held a protest in Watford calling for action. The Watford Observer covered the protest last week: http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/news/14124024.Residents_call_for_action_on__dangerous__Bushey_road/
A number of residents from Three Valleys Way and Malden Fields have contacted me regarding their concerns about the state of their road and the abandoned building site that was meant to be a recreation area. Clearly it is unacceptable for developers to make commitments and then not to follow through on them.
Three Valleys Way and Malden Fields residents have been waiting for well over two years for these issues that blight their neighbourhood to be addressed and it it understandable that they are beginning to lose patience.
I have written to the Managing Director of Persimmon Homes and Hertfordshire County Highways, requesting that the matter be looked into urgently and my constituents’ concerns addressed.
All residents are asking for is for the standard of their road to be brought back to what is was before works on the new development on Queen Acres site commenced. It is important that developers are held to account for not honouring obligations.
In my letters I have registered my support for Three Valleys Way and Malden Fields residents, and I will continue to monitor developments closely.
