I am sure that many of you would have seen eight year old Bushey Heath resident, Jonathan Marshall, on the This Morning programme yesterday. Jonathan's case was first brought to my attention by his mother, Angela Marshall, last December.

As a parent myself I was alarmed to hear that a local boy had his eyes badly damaged by a laser pen purchased at a Christmas fare in my constituency. Since December I have been campaigning alongside Angela Marshall, to tackle the dangers posed by laser pens and to raise awareness. Yesterday I tabled further Parliamentary Questions with the Business Secretary calling for these laser pens to better regulated and for swift enforcement action to be taken. I am also taking it up directly with the Minister responsible.
