Oliver Dowden joined with a group of volunteers on the Mitzvah Day at Woodcock Hill to help maintain the popular village green. The important green field site was in need of some TLC and over the course of a busy morning much of the undergrowth was cleaned up, enhancing the natural beauty and charm of the area.
Oliver said:
"It was great to see so many people of various faiths out on this special day (Mitzvah Day) and it has shown a terrific community spirit.
"The hard work of local campaigners, including Pat Strack and Linda Silver, to maintain and protect this charming village green has been wonderful and I will strive to protect and nurture similar areas of green space".
