We have delivered 5 years of council tax freezes, which, along with freezes by Conservative-run Hertfordshire County Council, are saving the average home around £300 a year.

You asked us for more doorstep recycling, especially glass:

We have delivered a brown bin for the collection of glass, plastics, tin and foil, bringing recycling levels to almost 50%. Now recycling rates are at an all-time high.

You asked us to protect funding for crime reduction:

We have continued to fund Police Community Support Officers and ensure a visible police presence in our towns. Now 99% of residents feel safe on our streets.

You asked us to look after local charities and local groups:

We have continued to deliver extra money for the Citizen’s Advice Bureau to provide debt management advice and make community grants of more than £300,000 a year.

You asked us for great leisure facilities:

We have continued to provide six award-winning parks across the borough, excellent leisure centres and free swimming.
