On Sunday, Oliver joined the NSPCC Craft Fair at Allum Hall in Elstree to present the children’s art awards at their annual fundraising event.
The fair has been running now for 22 years and saw a range events, including games, competitions and art displays, followed by a Chinese buffet. The money raised will go to aid the NSPCC in their work to end cruelty to children in the UK.
Mr Dowden said: ‘It was a real pleasure being invited to present the prizes again at the NSPCC’s local craft fair this year. There were some really excellent entries from the local children and the awards reflected the hard work done by all of them.
‘The money raised is going to a very worthy cause. We all know the exceptional work the NSPCC do protecting some of the most vulnerable children in our country and I would particularly like to thank Dr Ann Goddard and all the volunteers who made the day possible.’
