Oliver this morning toured the Royal Mail Sorting Office in Borehamwood to look at the work local postmen are doing during this year’s Christmas rush.
This year Royal Mail has brought in an additional 19,000 staff to help with the surge that comes at Christmas and deal with the millions of extra items.
Later Oliver said: ‘It was fantastic to go behind the scenes at Royal Mail today. The visit gave me a real insight into the huge amount of work that goes into making sure that all our letters, parcels and presents are delivered in time for Christmas.
‘It was a pleasure to chat to the hard working staff at the sorting office. Their hard work helps make our Christmas.’
