Oliver visited the National Animal Welfare Trust’s Hertfordshire branch in Bushey. During his visit, Oliver was given a full tour of the Trust’s centre and had the chance to meet with staff and the animals.
Speaking later Oliver said: ‘It was an absolute delight to be able to visit the animal welfare centre and see all the marvellous work the staff and volunteers of the staff and volunteers. Their love and care is giving a new start to neglected animals with no home.
‘I particularly enjoyed meeting the dogs who are provided with an enriched kennel facility. The £3,000 donation will help fund much needed new facilities including a much needed dog enrichment area.
‘I wish them every luck in the future.’
The donation received from the Shrimad Rajchandra Mission has been earmarked by the Trust to fund a new dog enrichment area and refurbishing their kennels. It is hoped that these changes will increase the adoption rate of rescued dogs arriving with the Trust.
