Oliver has convened a public meeting to discuss the performance of the Thameslink rail line on Thursday, 2 November 2017.
The meeting is open to all and will take place from 7:00pm in the Council Chamber at Hertsmere Borough Council in Borehamwood. Oliver will be chairing the event and will be joined on the panel by senior executives from Govia Thameslink Railway and Network Rail.
Speaking today, Oliver said: ‘Many of my constituents remain unsatisfied with the level of service offered by Thameslink to and from London. I commute on the line everyday and know first-hand the frustration caused by over-crowded trains, delays and cancellations which are often at little or no notice.
‘That’s why I’m hosting a second public meeting with executives from Govia Thameslink Railway and Network Rail so that passengers from Hertsmere can raise their concerns directly with them.
‘I hope anyone in the Borough who has concerns about the operation of the line will attend and make their voice heard.’
This event follows the public meeting Oliver held in March 2016 (link) on this same issue and is intended to allow passengers to assess how far things have changed since last year. Anyone wishing to attend should register their interest by emailing: [email protected].
UPDATE: This post previously stated the start time as 6:00pm, however, it has now been altered to 7:00pm to allow people returning from work to attend.
