Oliver has nominated the chefs at the Three Horseshoes pub in Letchmore Heath for the 2018 Parliamentary Pub Chef of the Year Award.
The award, run by the All Party Parliamentary Group for Beer and the British Beer & Pub Association, aims to recognise the best pub chefs from across the country, with the winners receiving a £500 prize.
All entrants must be nominated by their local Member of Parliament and speaking today, Oliver said: ‘I was delighted to nominate Ms Chrysanthi Passari and Mr Sam Collins from the Three Horseshoes for this award.
‘The Horseshoes is a wonderful country pub and I have had the pleasure of enjoying many excellent meals there over the years. I was so impressed that Ms Passari cooks her meals from scratch, using fresh local ingredients.
‘She and Mr Collins would be worthy winners and I hope the judges consider their nomination closely.’
The Three Horseshoes, currently run by landlord Danny Williams, has been in operation since 1803 and sits in the heart of Letchmore Heath, overlooking the green.
