Oliver last month met with the East of England Ambulance Service to discuss their service and how the improvements they are making are benefiting the people who live in Hertsmere.
The East of England Ambulance Service responds to incidents across Hertfordshire and the rest of East Anglia. They have stations in Bushey, Borehamwood and Potters Bar.
The Ambulance Service was rated as ‘requires improvement’ in July this year and is receiving £6.5m to invest in their services and facilities from the Government.
Oliver said ‘I very much enjoyed my recent visit to one of the local ambulance stations which serves Hertsmere.
I was pleased to hear that they are making improvements to their service and are committed to providing the best care possible to those who need it the most in Hertsmere.
The paramedics and staff who make up the ambulance service are some of the hardest workers in our health system and I will always value their dedication to their job.’
