Oliver has visited Explore Learning, a tutoring service in Borehamwood, to wish them luck ahead of the launch of their national Writers' Award on Thursday.
The annual Explore Learning Writers' Award aims to inspire children to take up creative writing. This year’s theme is ‘A Chance to Change the World’ and will be judged by Alesha Dixon of Britain’s Got Talent.
During his visit to their classrooms in Borehamwood, Oliver met with Centre Director, Anna-Suya, and Deputy Director, Stephanie, and peaking afterwards he said: ‘I very much enjoyed the chance to come round to see Explore Learning.'
‘Anna and Stephanie talked to me about their work as tutors, helping children develop vital skills across a host of subjects through interesting, interactive learning.
‘I was also interested to hear about the launch of their writing award on Thursday and wish the best of luck to everyone taking part.’
Oliver was also given a tour of Explore’s facilities and a demonstration of the types of tutoring tools they use.
