Oliver welcomed the news that Barclays will keep their high street Radlett branch open for at least the next two years.
Oliver lobbied Barclays on this decision, meeting them last year to raise strong objections to the closure of local high street branches in his Hertsmere constituency.
Oliver said: ‘I was delighted to hear that Barclays have committed to keep the Radlett branch open for at least the next two years.
I convened a meeting last year with representatives from Barclays to express how important these local branches are for my constituents, particularly vulnerable and elderly residents who rely on local in-branch services.
After pushing Barclays, I am thrilled they have committed to keep the high street Radlett branch open, and I know many living in and around Radlett will also welcome this decision’.
