Oliver was delighted to launch the new artwork display at Radlett station installed as part of Thameslink’s station improvement programme.
Working with the charity Groundwork, this project is part of a wider station improvement programme Govia Thameslink Railway has delivered over the last eighteen months, delivering over 1000 improvement projects including over 200 community artworks at stations.
Oliver said: ‘It is fantastic to be here today celebrating local artists from in and around Radlett. Ten local artists have been chosen to have their work displayed on Platform 2 and today we officially unveil their work.
This is a fantastic project celebrating and promoting artists in my constituency. As both the MP for Hertsmere and Culture Secretary, I know the immense delight that art can bring, and the power of community artwork projects such as these. I am thrilled that the local artists I met today now have their work displayed for all to enjoy at Radlett Station.’
