Oliver recently met again with the Elstree and Borehamwood Green Belt Society, to discuss his ongoing work keeping our local green spaces safe.
They discussed the future of Woodcock Hill Village Green, the solar farm proposal in Radlett, Aldenham Reservoir, the Local Plan and more.
Oliver said: ‘I am committed to keeping our local green spaces safe. I recently met again with the Elstree and Borehamwood Green Belt Society, to discuss my ongoing campaigns to preserve Woodcock Hill Village Green and Aldenham Reservoir, as well discussing the proposed solar farm in Radlett and the Local Plan.
We discussed my continued work pressing the Government on what steps they are taking to ensure protection for green spaces.
I will also be writing again to Hertsmere Borough Council to ask for an update on their Brownfield Register as well as continuing to work with all groups to secure a future for Aldenham Reservoir.
From the outset, I made my clear opposition to the application at Woodcock Hill Village Green and I have publicly expressed my serious concerns about the size and scope of the proposed solar farm in Radlett.
Local groups like Elstree and Borehamwood Green Belt Society work selflessly to preserve what we love about our area, and I will continue to work with local groups on all these campaigns.’
