Oliver recently visited Borehamwood Foodbank on Shenley Road.
Founded in 2013 by Kristan Payne BEM, Borehamwood Foodbank provides three days worth of emergency food and support to local residents in need. Supported by the Trussell Trust, they are a part of a nationwide network of foodbanks that are working tirelessly to combat poverty and hunger across the borough.
Oliver said: ‘It was a great pleasure to visit the Borehamwood Foodbank today. Soon they will mark their 10th Anniversary, and over the past decade they have worked with tireless enthusiasm to support the most vulnerable people in Hertsmere.
Oliver added: I was very impressed with their operations and how they are working hard for our community in Borehamwood.
It was a particular pleasure to meet the Founder of Borehamwood Foodbank, Kristan Payne BEM to congratulate her on receiving a British Empire Medal in King Charles’ New Honours List.
I would like to thank the team of volunteers and staff for all their hard work.’
