Oliver Visits Borehamwood Boxing Club as they Complete Huge Refurbishment

Oliver recently visited Borehamwood Boxing Club, off Aycliffe Road in Cowley Hill.

 

Previously Brookside Boxing Club, Borehamwood Boxing Club is an amateur boxing club which offers children and adults the opportunity to learn the sport of boxing in a controlled, inclusive, and fun environment. The Club has recently undergone a major refurbishment project to improve the gym area.

 

Oliver said: ‘It was great to visit Borehamwood Boxing Club, and chat to the volunteers, students and coaches as the refurbishment project got well underway.

 

There was a great atmosphere, and I chatted to lots of local lads who have given up their time to help work on the new gym. I know that amateur boxing clubs like these make a huge contribution to their communities, in particular supporting young boys and men who often come from difficult backgrounds.

 

I look forward to visiting again to see the completed gym!’
