Recently, Oliver met with constituents to receive an update on Woodcock Hill Village Green (WHVG) in Borehamwood.
In March, the Planning Inspectorate (PI) decided to approve the Deregistration and Exchange of the village green land at Woodcock Hill. A Judicial Review was brought but upheld the PI’s original decision.
WHVG Committee then challenged the Judicial Review and, at the beginning of June, were told that permission was granted for such challenge. To do so, the Committee are now asking for support from the community, by raising funds for the legal case.
WHVG Committee are also looking to establish Rights of Way on the Green.
Oliver said: ‘I convened a meeting with the Woodcock Hill Village Green Committee to discuss the ongoing challenges facing the Committee and to discuss their tireless campaign to protect Woodcock Hill Village Green.
‘They have now got permission to fight the Judicial Review decision and continue to resist development on the Green which would be a huge disappointment for the community.
Oliver added: ‘They have always had my full support and this will, of course, continue. I would encourage everyone to get involved and share their concerns.’
