Oliver recently visited Citizens Advice Hertsmere.
Oliver met with Chief Executive, Carolyn Bullen, staff and volunteers to receive an update on local statistics and issues facing residents.
It was also an opportunity for staff and volunteers to raise questions with Oliver, which included the timescale of the Home Office applications and the Spring Budget.
Mr Dowden said: ‘It was great to return to Citizen’s Advice to catch up with Carolyn and the volunteers. As always, it was a very informative meeting and valuable to discuss the needs of Hertsmere residents.
Lots of questions about the recent Spring Budget and it was good to discuss steps that the Government are taking to support people, including the extension of the Household Support Fund, the additional 2p cut in National Insurance and the abolition of the £90 Debt Relief Order fee, which was something Citizens Advice Bureau was calling for.’
Mr Dowden added: ‘I look forward to continuing our good relationship and working together for Hertsmere residents.’
