Sir Oliver Dowden MP recently attended a ceremony which saw the honour of Knight Commander of the Order of the Bath conferred.
The award was announced in July’s Dissolution Honours, with Sir Oliver being appointed the honour for his political and public services.
Sir Oliver was presented the honour by Her Royal Highness, Princess Anne, The Princess Royal at Windsor Castle.
Sir Oliver said: ‘I was honoured to be appointed Knight Commander of the Order of the Bath.
‘It was a very proud moment to be presented with the Honour by HRH Princess Anne, The Princess Royal, at Windsor Castle in front of my family.
‘I would like to thank them for their support in my time in public service. I would also like to thank the people of Hertsmere who have continued to put their faith in me as their Member of Parliament over the past decade.
‘Representing Hertsmere in Parliament is a huge privilege, as well as previously serving in a number of Government positions, including Deputy Prime Minister.’
