Oliver Dowden, newly elected MP for Hertsmere, has visited the Borehamwood and Elstree Citizens Advice Bureau to meet newly appointed Chief Executive Officer, Carolyn Buller and Chair Chris Wood.
Mr Dowden said: "I was already aware of the excellent work that is carried out by Hertsmere CAB before my visit on Friday. Every year it provides invaluable help and assistance to thousands Hertsmere residents. However, having been elected in May I wanted to visit the Elstree and Borehamwood office in person to find out more about the services they provide.
I really enjoyed meeting the new Chief Executive, Carolyn, and her team of dedicated volunteers. They are passionate about the help they provide Elstree and Borehamwood residents and I am determined to work closely with them to address my constituents concerns."
He later added: "I am aware of the joint service that Hertsmere CAB has provided with Macmillan Cancer Support to cancer sufferers. I am aware that this service has provided a lifeline to many and I am keen to do what I can to support the partnership. I am very keen to work with Carolyn to look to secure future funding for the service"
