Oliver Dowden visited Letchmore Heath to campaign against a proposed Battery Energy Storage System (BESS).
Chiltern Green Energy have put in a planning application to build a Battery Energy Storage System on the 30 acre site just outside Letchmore Heath.
The proposed site would likely constitute one of the largest BESS in the country, with 400 batteries stored in a 3m x 6m storage unit apiece.

Oliver said: ‘Lots of residents have been in touch with me regarding proposals to build a Battery Energy Storage System just outside Letchmore Heath.
‘There are worries about the effect this proposal would have on our green spaces as well as potential fire risks.
‘I know that local people are strongly opposed to the proposal. It is not right that we have something like this built in a rural community.’
