Oliver recently visited the Horses Field BE6 site where Barratt Homes’ developers propose to build 220 homes.
Oliver visited the site alongside Town Councillors, Cllr Sandra Parnell and Cllr Pat Strack as well as prospective Conservative councillor candidate, Andrew Grady.
Oliver said: ‘I have been inundated this week with correspondence from Borehamwood residents regarding Barratt Homes’ proposal to build up to 220 homes on the land of the Horses Field BE6.
As I always say, greenbelt land should not be built on unless there are special circumstances.
Oliver added: Similarly to other proposed developments that I have spoken out against in Hertsmere, I do not believe that there are special circumstances for development on this site.
I will continue to stand firm against building in greenbelt and will remain a strong voice for residents.
